Welcome to Axt Haus
We’ve combined the thrill of axe throwing with great German inspired drinks to create a one of a kind destination
Founded by a local Chester couple with over 20 years of experience in hospitality, Axt Haus was born from their love of axe throwing and the belief that Chester needed something new, exciting and completely out of the ordinary.
You’ll find us nestled within the historic railway arches, just a short lederhosen hop from Chester city centre and a stone’s throw from the iconic Chester Racecourse.
Why choose us
Our venue isn’t just about hurling axes (although we do plenty of that!) — it’s about creating unforgettable memories with friends, family and colleagues. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first time thrower, our expert instructors are on hand to guide you every step of the way, ensuring a safe, fun and competitive experience for all.
When it comes to refreshments, we keep things simple and authentically German. Grab a freshly baked pretzel to keep you fuelled, and wash it down with a stein of ice cold bier or a crisp glass of Riesling. It’s the perfect pairing for an action-packed session on the lanes.
So whether you’re planning a unique date night, a stag or hen do, a birthday celebration or a team building event, Axt Haus is the place to unleash your inner lumberjack.
Book your session today and get ready to throw, laugh and raise a glass — Prost! 🍻
